-o- Vacated after Yoshimura retires and Sakaguchi jumps to New Japan.

-p- Defeated Karl Von Krupp and Kurt Von Steiger for the vacant titles. Vacated when the JWA folds on April 20, 1973.

-q- Defeated Korean representatives for the titles. Strong Kobayashi and Seiji Sakaguchi are recognized as champions by New Japan after defeating Gama and Tiger Jeet Singh on August 4, 1976.

-r- Tiger Jeet Singh and Umanosuke Ueda win New Japan's version of the titles from Kobayashi and Sakaguchi on July 15, 1976. Belts are abandoned on May 21, 1981.

-s- Vacated after not being defended for three months.

-t- Defeated The Kiwis (Butch Miller and Sweet William) for the vacant titles.

-hh- Misawa vacates the titles after the match in order to give other wrestlers a chance to hold the title.

-ii- Defeated Manunakea Mossman and Johnny Smith in the finals of a tournament for the vacant titles. Vacated when Honda and Inoue leave the promotion in June 2000.

-jj- Defeated Shin'ya Makabe and Yuuji Nagata for the vacant titles.

-kk- Defeated Nobutaka Araya and Shiego Okumura for the vacant belts. Vacated in 2002.

-ll- Defeated Mitsuya Nagai and Shiego Okumura for the vacant belts. Vacated on June 20, 2003 when Arashi decides to concentrate on the World Tag Team Titles.
