-a- Lineage continues from NWA World Television Title, title exclusivly known as the WCW World Television title as of January 1991.

-b- Vacated in November 1992, when the Steiners sign with the WWF.

-c- Defeats Erik Watts in a tournament final.

-d- Defeats Vader to regain the held-up belt.

-e- Defeats Stevie Ray who had been claiming that Booker T had given him the belt to defend because of an injury.

-f- Stripped of the title on November 21, 1999 due to injury.

-g- Awarded, then abandoned on November 29, 1999 when Hall throws the belt into a trash can.

-h- Title is revived when Duggan finds the belt in the trash; declared vacant by WCW executives Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo when they relaunch WCW on April 10, 2000 in Denver, CO. Title is abandoned again when WCW is purchased by the WWE in March of 2001.
